In response to the Article "Unleashing The Killer Pill", written by William Jasper
I must say that I am partially undecided on the issues of abortion pills. The whole aspect
of whether or not abortion pills are acceptable on a moral standard is a personal issue,
which has grabbed national attention. This is the first time in our nations history that our
government has ever approved a drug for the specific purpose of taking the life of another
human being. This abortion pill, which is called RU-486, has also shown medical signs
of personal detriment to the women taking the pill. The article discusses the issue of how
unethical the concept around the abortion pills are, by explaining the origin of the pill.
According to reports, RU-486 is being manufactured in communist china and being sold
to the United States. China, this is a country that forces a one child policy per family by
using forced abortions. A country, which we disagree with so dearly, is producing our
countries Abortion Drugs. Whether or not the drug is made in China is irrelevant when it
comes down to it. I believe that life begins at conception, which is a strong point
brought by pro-life activists. Before a child is born it is given all it's necessities to
survive. Notice the operative word is before. Before birth the child's heart beats, the
gastric juices flow in the stomach, and all its necessary organs have been made present.
This is a child that thinks, dreams, and feels pain. We provide this child with the
nourishments and necessities of life even before it exits the body, so how can someone
state that the child is really a human yet! I have to be totally truthful when saying that
this isn't my most strongly held issue. I have mixed feelings about abortion, abortion
