There is an exception to every so-called moral absolute. The elders are too feeble to contribute to the group but; they still consume precious food, which is scarce. Rachels' theory about Cultural Relativism being based on an invalid argument is not true. This attribute is abnormal to our western society, according to Ruth. The Kwakiutls do not go out and kill at random times, they only kill to ease their soul for a dead relative (Pojman,1996).
