Ender's Game

             In Ender's Game, Ender has very few close friends, people who care and are always there for him. He also has many enemies who despise him for being the best at what he is. Although he has very few friends, Ender is a great leader and commander, he is respected by his crew and many other schoolmates. The people around Ender, friends or enemies, helped develop Ender's character or personality. They help develop different qualities that make Ender the person he is, and different from other people.
             Colonel Graff is head of the battle school where Ender is first trained. He is one of the main people that influenced Ender greatly. When Ender first arrives in battle school, Colonel Graff is very nice to him which makes the other children dislike Ender. Graff isolates Ender deliberately, Ender's loneliness and isolation is a big part of his development. As soon as Ender accomplishes a task he is given a more difficult one. This makes Ender creative, independent, and strong. Ender is pushed beyond the limits by the government to be a great military leader and he achieves all the characteristics of a great leader.
             Peter is Ender's older brother. He is manipulating, persuasive, aggressive, and cruel. Peter is also a genius and he wants to gain control of the world. Peter hates Ender because he was able to accomplish what he could not do, go to battle school. He is constantly threatening Ender and telling him that he is going to kill him. He influences Ender in many ways. Peter represents everything that Ender hates. The one thing that Ender fears the most is that through his training he is becoming like Peter. This thought horrifies Ender and it causes his him to lose determination in several points of his training. Later in the book , Ender realizes that Peter is something he is not.
