             What is terrorism? The Federal Bureau of Investigation says “Terrorism is the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.” Brian Jenkins, a Terrorism Research Center consultant thinks “Terrorism is the use or threatened use of force designed to bring about political change.” But what do both of these definitions have in common? They both discuss force and violence. No crime is accepted, or nice; people do not permit threatening acts nor do they look upon them as celebrated events. People around the world, typical, daily civilians, hate and discourage these hate crimes. “Terrorism,” as Walter Laqueur defines, “constitutes the illegitimate use of force to achieve a political objective when innocent people are targeted.” “Illegitimate” force could be described for !
             rape, braking and entering, assault and battery, and terrorism. What is the key ingredient for this force? Innocence. Innocent people are effected; targeted by terrorist, by rapist, and thefts. America could be considered innocent because the entire terrorist world sets their sites on the United States. These assassins, premeditated murderers threaten innocent victims in hope to influence a particular audience.(Definitions) There are numerous ways that this reign of terror can effect the world. It could possibly start wars, feuds, and even partnerships or allies. America and the rest of the world fear both domestic and international terrorist because of their unique and specialized weaponry.
