English the future?
Will the statement below be true or not?English will be the only language needed to communicate by 2100 and all other languages will be dead. To support this view I would have to say that right now English is the most commonly used and the fastest developing language on earth. In addition, more and more people are undoubtedly at the present time making English their secondary language. Therefore, it seems logical to predict that in a hundred years time English could be the only language required to communicate on earth. Also if you look at the fact that a hundred years ago who would have mused that they would be using a metal box with plastic components placed inside it to do their shopping or to do certain forms of their work. Logically no one would have. However, if you look around the world today, then you see that there is a computer in nearly every developed and in most of the developing countries houses. A revaluation took place in the last hundred years for the computer industry, so why can’t that occur for the English language. The school that my peers and I go to is an international school, it employs English as its means of communication. For the reason being that English is the language, which is ut . . .
Even if a revolution is to take place, then still it will be impossible to eliminate all the other languages. Let us say about two billion people in the world know English. ilized to communicate in the developed world. Now some people would say that there are some 249 other languages out there which people also utilize to communicate, such a great number of languages cannot all be dead in 100 years. The reason being that English is the language, which they think, is the second most serviceable language to their scholars after their native language. Therefore, the language will be considered a dead language. Therefore, it! is extremely logical for me to disagree with the original statement. All these languages are also developing at a little slightly slower pace than English. To imagine that these languages will be dead in a time frame of a hundred years of time is extremely hard to believe. They are not used in one country but lots of countries. We agree that English has the potential to become the only language required to communicate however that target can't be achieved in a time frame of a hundred years. They are also a major means of communication just like English. Let us have a look at some essential facts, there are some 6 billion people in the world. Also there are too many people who have to be taught and in too little time.
