             Through out life, you learn that disaster can strike on any level, at any time.
             Recently, hundreds of thousands of people lost their homes when a severe earthquake hit
             the state of Gujarat in northern India. Every day millions of people world wide call our
             streets their home. In cases like these, people may need a helping hand; Habitat for
             Humanity is an organization working to put a roof over the worlds head, one house at a
             time. Currently they are working with families all over the world to help get them off the
             streets and into a home. Habitat for Humanity in India is working to build as many as a
             thousand houses over the next three years for those who were left homeless by the
             Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1976
             by a man named Millard Fuller and his wife Linda. The main goal of HFH is to
             eventually end low income housing and homelessness. The organization works with
             low income individuals and families world wide who are in need of housing. HFH works
             with these people to construct a decent home to live in. Sometimes, they will simply
             remodel a run down house, while other times they will construct houses from the ground
             up. HFH is powered by volunteer labor and by donations of both money and building
             materials. HFH works with the homeowner or “partner” families to build or refinish
             These houses constructed by HFH are not simply given to the partner families.
             The partner families are required to work ,along with volunteers, on the construction of
             the houses. The houses are then sold to the partner families at no profit, and financed
             with affordable no interest loans. HFH then takes the mortgage payments received from
             the partner families and puts the money towards other housing projects.
