At this point of my life, I have gone through so many changes. I have recently been experiencing many difficult obstacles. These obstacles include being in a bad car accident, loosing loved ones who have passed away, and almost living on the streets because I could not afford to pay my rent. Even though these things have affected my life greatly, there is still one thing that happened in my childhood that changed my life the most. The biggest impact in my life occurred when my baby brother was born.
             Before my bother Dennis was born my life was very different. At this time in my life, it was only my mom, my dad, and me. I used to get all the attention from both of my parents. From the moment I was born until the age of five, I got anything I wanted. Although I had plenty of toys and other children to play with, I wanted to have a brother or sister of my own. Soon my wish to have a younger brother or sister would finally come true.
             In January of nineteen eighty-seven, my mom and dad conceived a baby. I was so happy because I would soon have a younger sibling. It was so exciting because I was going to be a big sister, and I would be able to help my mom and dad prepare for a bigger family. We started shopping for toys, clothes, a baby bed, and many other baby items needed for a new born. At the age of five having a younger sibling was an honor. This was an honor to me because I would have someone look up to me for the rest of my life. Deep down in my heart I really wanted a baby sister, but as time passed, the doctor revealed that my mom was going to have a boy. This news made me upset being the adolescent I was. Time would soon reveal how I would react to this new situation.
