Why would people want to stay in the cave and not come out?
             I believe the reason people would not want to come out of the cave is because they feel comfortable where he or she may be at right now in his or her life. He or she may not necessarily like what he or she may be doing, however at the same time he or she is comfortable and knows what has to get done. By coming out of the cave you have now forced yourself to step out of the familiar and into the unfamiliar. This is a step most people are not willing to take. People would rather do something that is comfortable and disliked than try something new that has a possibility of becoming one of his or her favorites. All due to the fact that people do not like trying new things.
             The cave can be compared to anything in life. You can compare the cave to trying new food, a new sport, a new job, a new type of music, new people, etc. The list could go on forever. People just do not like trying new things. For some reason, people are not willing to step outside the normal and try something different.
             When it comes to music, people do not like listening to anything other than what is pleasing to them. In some cases all types of music may be pleasing to a few people, but not very many. People mainly stick with one style of music, either country, rock n roll, alternative, rap, R & B, heavy metal, jazz, etc. People tend to choose one style and listen to only that type. Once that style chosen it becomes comfortable and pleasing while all other styles become unpleasing and to the listeners disliking. This same concept happens when people find foods that he or she likes.
             When it comes to food almost everyone has his or her favorites. I know I do. I like Italian and Mexican. Although most people like lots of different foods when asked to try something new he or she will most likely reject trying.
