James Madison was a brilliant man who along with John Jay and Thomas Jefferson greatly influenced our nation to ratify the constitution. Unfortunately, today we have two basic parties and whoever has control between them has control of the majority vote. Without this our country might never have been what it is today. If things worked according to Madison, we would have more equal parties instead of two large ones and a few substantially smaller and insignificant ones.
