Canadian Elections

The year 2000 Canadian elections. This paper is an argument on all sides of each member's party platform. I will argue out each platform, and finally come to an educated decision. To for warn you, I am a card-carrying member of the Progressive Conservative Party. So it will be a hard argument to change the end result. My view on what should be done in politics in order for me to vote for the right party.I'm looking for a guy that wants to bring up the issue of lowering tax, take advantage of our newfound economy. The guy who has interest in keeping the wealth to Canadians, keep it in the family sort of deal. I would like to know that I have a job waiting for me when I'm done my education, knowing that my tax money will help me in the long run. Not going to a $200,000 fountain in Chretian's hometown. One of the first things that struck me on the Liberal party platform was the statement,"Canada will be a smart country. Under a liberal government Canada will expand it's considerable knowledge, innovation, and research capacity, and accelerate its leadership in the new economy. However, more and more Canadians find themselves working longer hours at insecure jobs for rates of pay only marginally higher than a decade ago. A Progressive Conservative government would ensure that the economic fundamentals are in place to allow Canadian's to compete and thrive in a global economy. I don't know much about R&D, but I do know that it's very expensive to research and develop anything. McKay, has the youthfulness, and the eagerness to succeed in portraying our future. The Canadian Alliance in my view should not even try to run in area such as ours. I think that the PC party has the best and most reasonable view on what to do with our growing despair in economy, which should have lots of potential to thrive. The bulk of the money would have to come from government expenditures. The Globe and Mail newspaper released and article that showed the secret agenda of the Canadian Alliance. S and it says that if we continue along this path it will drop to 50% in just a matter of years. ) The PC party has a sound plan to achieve a better Canadian economy, where everyone can enjoy. That is if there is two parents, each gets a tax break on their first 12,000 dollars. This will attract new investors into our economy and further boost Canada's current economic system.
