When I think about a book that has played a very important role in
sharpening my thinking, my attitude and my behavior, I think of a book
which was written hundreds of years ago. Actually, it's sixty-six books
combined into one. This book is called the "Holy Bible."
Through reading its exciting adventures, inspiring stories, beautiful
poetry, and convicting messages, I've noticed a change that is taken place
in me. This change started happening when I started applying what I was
reading to my life. It has changed my thinking pattern about life and how
to deal and cope with everyday trials and tribulations. It paints a clear and
vivid picture for me as a believer to think positively and recognize that God
loves me and wants to save me from sin. The Holy Bible is known to be the
most powerful messages ever written. It has been proven to be a very
effective tool to living a Christian life. It is teaching me not to dwell on
bad experiences and to be conformed to this world of today, but to look at
a bigger and brighter picture. It strengthens me and gives me peace and
I've also noticed that through reading The Bible, my attitude has
even changed. I find that I am not so quick to judge others. In 2 Cor 5:10
it says "For we must all stand before Christ to be judged", so therefore, I
am not the one to judge anyone. I've become more open-minded about
certain issues. I am more quick to help someone. Before I felt that people
are in certain situations because its where they want to be. This is not
always the case. I am more slow to anger. I now take the time to think
things through instead of acting on my first instinct. I also treat people the
