demographic data of 3 countries
This research assignment was to compare the demographic data of three countries of the year 2000, and the projection of 2025; one each from Europe, Asia, and Africa. I decided to choose Poland, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe, for no particular reason. Each countries size and current populations are very different. Even with such a great difference, the demographics show many similar trends. Poland's current population is about 40,000 and its projected population is a few hundred smaller, even with longer life expectancies. The projected rate of decrease is guessed at .3 percent. The largest number of Polish citizens are between the ages of 30 and 55. As a well developed nation, families don't have too many children and are concerned with money, their jobs, and education. Zimbabwe's rate of growth is and is projected to be negative. Their population is very small and the death rates and very large. Pakistan is projected to under go a serious population boom. From the demographic graph I've seen, it doesn't look like the growth will end any time very soon. Zimbabwe is a very undeveloped and primitive country. Their current numbers are around 140,000 and they are expected to be close to 215,000 in 25 years. Most of the people are probably still tribal and hunting and gatherings. I'm sure they will harm the environment greatly in the years to come. 8 years and even that is expected to decrease. ------------------------------------------------------------------------**Bibliography**. What I thought was amazing is that the current population is under 12,000 and is projected to be under 10,000 in 25 years. More than half of the current population are too young to have children. I'm glad I don't live in this area of the world.
