Seperate is Better

             Susan Estrich was professor for Harvard Law School and Southern California Law School, wrote Separate is Better. Separate is Better is an essay about how girls and woman would achieve a better education if they attended a single sex school. Estrich has provided many different statistics and facts that show that girls do less than boys academically. In the essay it stated that in " 1994, 60% of the National Merits Scholarship finalists were boys, in the P.S.A.T. 1800 of boys versus 8,000 girls reached the top category, boys outscored in girls on 11 out of the 14 College Board Achievements test, A.C.T & S.A.T exams." But her strongest is her own self experience attending Wellesley College an all woman's college. Estrich believes the benefit of singles sex schools would lead to more and efficient education, which will show the way to more scholarships and grant money for woman, to earn a strong degree or doctrine. The doctrine and degree evolves to successful and stable careers, in result great salaries and self satisfaction.
             I thought that "Separate is Better" written by Susan Estrich was very informational. I would have never have know that girls were doing less well than boys. I was taught that "all men are created equal" and "you can do anything if you put your mind to it." But I do feel that there is always room for self-improvement including being more involved with school activities and also achieving better grades. I was most convinced with the evidence that Estrich provided such as "In 1994, 60% of the National Merits Scholarship finalists were boys, in the P.S.A.T. 1800 of boys versus 8,000 girls reached the top category, boys outscored in girls on 11 out of the 14 College Board Achievements test, A.C.T & S.A.T exams."
