I am researching desktop computers. There are several reasons I am interested inbuying a new computer. First of all, the one I currently own is sorely outdated. I need afaster computer to keep up with my continuing education in computer sciences. It will bevery tedious and hard to further my education in computers with one that is not up to datewith current technology. I also use my computer for various entertainment purposes suchas music, games, and socializing. It is very hard and arduous waiting for my computer to Some traits I am looking for are the computer's speed, memory, space capacity,CD-RW and included software. Each one should be up to date and functioning well. Thespeed I am looking for is around a 800 MHz to a 1000 MHz processor, preferably aPentium III. Currently, this is the best speed available to the public. A computer with128MB of RAM would be adequate memory for me. I don't use too much space on mycomputer, so anything past 10GB worth of space is more than enough for me. Mostcomputers now come with a CD-RW, a cd burner. Ocassionally they also come with aDVD drive for multimedia applications, which is a big plus. The included software
The Dell 4100 series computer is aPentium 3 computer with 128 MB of RAM, 40GB of space, a CD-RW drive, a freeprinter, and lots of free programs such as Turbo Tax, Norton Antivirus, Music MatchJukebox, and Windows ME. I don't particularly need another monitor,but mine is smaller in comparison to the new ones. I have talked to several people onlinethat have recently purchased new computers and are having problems with them. The great thing about being able to buy the computer straight from themanufacturer is that you can completely customize the computer. I think the time spent working on this wasvery valuable. Dell also offersspecial promo packages along with their product. The best way to get information on the newesttechnology and their rates is through the internet. Since it's factorydirect, there is no middle man either. It would be nice to have a largermonitor, but not really necissary. Of course, the final outcome all depends on the price. The Emachines computer seems very tempting with the offer it isproposing.
