Helpful hints for your first year of college
             Ones first year of college can be a frightening experience no matter what age you are but as the years go by and the things you learned in high school start to fade going back to school may become quite overwhelming. Few things will ease your nervousness, which unfortunately is something that everyone must deal with, but there are things you can do to help yourself and your family survive your first year of college.
             To begin with, before classes even start you need to prepare yourself and your family for the changes that lie ahead. For instance, explain to your children that you may be gone certain nights if you plan to take night classes also explain to them that your time together may cut back a little but that you will always make time for them. Another thing that helps prepare a family is making up a new chore list so everyone helps around the house and it is not all left for you. Let us not forget about the husband, you need to set aside time for him because lets face it sometimes they complain more about not getting enough attention than the kids do.
             After classes start you will have to learn to manage your time in a completely different manner, sometimes it will seem like there just are not enough hours in the day, and sometimes there is not. Setting a schedule will help you manage your time better but only if you go by that schedule. You may make one up and hang it on the refrigerator door but it will do you no good unless you follow it. Another idea to help manage your time a little is combining jobs for instance reading your assignments during soccer practice or ballet lessons or maybe during your lunch hour. The hardest thing for some people to do is juggling a full time job along with a full class load. Think logically when picking your classes, do not overload yourself remember you are not superwoman.
