Currently, the United States does not have very strict gun control policies. That works out to almost one for every citizen. Guns are in 43% of houses with children. That is 500 lives that could have been saved, if the gun industry would do something to make its products safer. There are also many loopholes in the law that makes them easily accessible. This law said that there was to be a background check performed on anyone buying a gun, and a five day waiting period before he or she can actually purchase the gun. In 1998, a good friend of mine noticed his father’s gun. In a survey of male eleventh graders, 36%-50% said that it would be easy for them to get a gun if they wanted to.
