Although the Anasazi Indians and the Incas are in many ways alike, the differencesseem to be very immense. Because both civilizations had no written languages, what weknow of the history of the Incas and the Anasazi has been written in the decades afterSpanish conquest. Both the Anasazi and the Inca had well developed civilizations, yetthey both advanced them by different techniques and religions. These regions were divided into sub-regions and lesser socioeconomic regions of whichthe smallest was the family land holding known as an allya. The Anasazi skillfully shaped stone, bone, and wood into many toolsfor grinding, cutting, pounding, chopping, perforating, scraping, polishing and weaving. It was believed that they had extremely cold winters and very warm summers. They believed in gods, festivals, and afterlife. They also have a spiral that shows adagger in the middle, representing the summer solstice. The Inca believed that power came directlyfrom the Sun god and by that they managed to achieve a political and government systemunsurpassed by any Indian tribe.
