Fear. Fear is defined as an unpleasant often strong

emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. Fear

can be caused by a variety of things. However, fear is not

always caused by solid danger, that is, it is possible to

provoke fear in a person through other methods than through

putting the person in direct danger. It is possible for a

person to fear something that may not exist all together.

Fear is indeed a part of human nature. It can neither be

ignored all together or altered. Fear is often instilled

into people by the use of stories or folklore. Many of the

folktales and urban legends that surround us today were

conceived to instill fear. Stories of murders, death, and

the unexplained have all become entangled in the realm of

many cases, may also be totally fiction based. They

things in life that are unexplainable. And, things that

people do not have an understanding of, or cannot explain
