drugs in the NCAA
This article should be placed in a body building magazine or college magazine for insight on drugs in the NCAA.Two heavyweight wrestlers engage in battle. The two are tired from two and a half periods of grueling punishment. One of the wrestlers positions himself to lift the other wrestler in the in the air and toss him straight to his back. The wrestlers used his strength holding him down and pinning him. The losing wrestler is upset not just because of the loss but he believes that the other wrestler is on steroids allowing him to win. What the losing wrestler does not understand is that steroids alone cannot make you an athlete. It is true the athletes who use steroids are using drugs to make them stronger but that does not come without hard work. Athletes in the NCAA who use steroids are not trying to break the rules just to break the rules; they are using the drugs to be the best athlete that they can be. This is just one example of why
I believe it should be the choice of the athlete not the NCAA whether or not athletes can use steroids. It will give them the satisfaction that they did it all without the use of drugs. These are not false accusations but if the users of the drugs knew what we know now about steroids those premature deaths might have been avoided. I know athletes in college who use or have used steroids. Many of the men, and even women, who used the steroids, used them irresponsibly paying no attention to the hazards and well being. ------------------------------------------------------------------------**Bibliography**. When researched and used responsibly steroids can allow an athlete to gain size, weight, speed and strength in a fairly safe manner. the NCAA should allow performance-enhancing drugs, mainly steroids, to be used. "Many of the athletes I know think that is very worth it. Watching that sharp needle pierce your skin and go any where from an inch to two inches into your body ready for the fluid to enter your body it's awesome. These athletes always are the biggest, strongest, and fastest with only a few exceptions. My coach once told me, "Your body is a machine that your mind uses, it is simply just a piece of machinery. Athletes have used steroids for years to help them achieve their athletic and personal goals. " I understand that by competing against athletes who use the drugs could make the non-users feel as if they needed to, but if they can achieve all of their goals and achievements without the drugs that is good for them.
