Creation vs. Evolution
There is one single question that boggles the minds of even some of the top philosophers in the world. The odd thing is that this question is seemingly one of the simplest questions ever asked, "Where did life come from?" Intelligent design has been widely debated through recent years. Charles Darwin had much to do with these debates by coming up with an antithesis to the theory of intelligent design called the theory of evolution. Because no one was there at the formation of life, these two theories cannot be proven by the use of true scientific method (using the five senses). However, scientific method is not the only way to gain the truth. "For example, legal authorities recognize the validity of a prima facie case, which is acknowledged to exist when adequate evidence is available to establish the presumption of a fact that, unless such fact can be refuted, legally stands proven" (Jackson 13). One thing we know assuredly, however: it is correct-logically and scientifically-to acknowledge that the Universe had a cause, because the Universe is an effect, and requires an adequate antecedent cause. The fact that nothing can come from nothing is an evident truth. The universe was created by something (or someone) that came before and is superior to the universe itself.
