How Lord of the Flies

How Lord of the Flies was like World War IILord of the Flies was like World War II in many ways. The way the littluns are in physical depression, and the way Jack treats all the littluns, and the way the book ended reminded me of World War II. In a way the island is a dreadful small Germany, with the same type of murdering, depression, and killing happening on it. The way war is spread in this book explains a lot of how war happens. In Lord of the Flies the littluns were in deep depression. They wanted to go home, they didn't have food, and didn't have the power to go and get it themselves. The same type of thing happened in Germany, the Germans were in a deep depression and didn't have the money or power to stand up for themselves.

That is what you are supposed to get out of World War II, and Lord of the Flies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------**Bibliography**Lord of the Flies. In the case of Lord of the Flies Jack stood up to be their leader; not only a leader but one who could give them food and shelter, since they were in physical depression this was good. That is how Jack got his power, and how Hitler got his power: they gave the people what they wanted plus a little bit of power and respect, and the people ate it up like last week's issue of Soap Opera's Digest. In this story Lord of the Flies the littluns represent the Germans of World War II. In the case of the Germans, Hitler stepped up and provided the Germans with food and shelter, this was also good for their physical depression. Before Hitler's or Jack's enemy could be completely wiped out, something came in to save the enemy of them, the Jews or the other group on the island (Jack's enemy). In the case of World War II the United States stepped in to help the nearly wiped out Jews, and in the case of Lord of the Flies it was an older man that saved the almost wiped out group. So when they stepped in, the wars were all over. So if you see that the outcome is going to be negative, try to put a stop to it by viewing the future - don't let it happen. The way Lord of the Flies similar to the way World War II ended. So when this sort of thing happens to the Germans, or the littluns they have to look for a new leader, some one who can stand up for them and meet their needs. So what this book teaches you about is how one man can effect thousands of people or even a whole nation, either Germany or a small island. It helped me understand how war can happen so easily. Both the United States and the older man were higher powers, so they could put and end to the chaos on the island, or in Germany.
