The Matrix
Websters Dictionary defines Messiah as "the anticipated savior," who or what it saves is undefined. The Matrix was a movie with profound and dynamic meaning. The main character, Neo, was chosen to save the world from itself. The title of the movie was the most complexed part of the movie. The matrix was a duplication of the real world created by robots with artificial intelligence. The robots had begun to take over the real world and only a few chosen people could see past the world that was created for them. This movie was based around the physical, spiritual, and mythical meaning of The Matrix. The Matrix was a movie describing the physical aspects of the world in which they lived in. In the movie the artificial intelligence computers, which took on human form, had created a world. This world was being lived in by the entire population, except for a few people. Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus were the three main characters in the movie. Neo was the chosen one, The Messiah. They all knew about and could travel in and out of the matrix by phone systems. The Matrix was just a predetermined life created by a superior intelligence. The population of the world were followers of the matrix.
She was a guiding force in the lives of Neo and his friends. I see my life in a new way now, I see that what I do now in life is just a preparation for the after life. Neo was a computer hacker in the movie and spent all of his time glued to a computer screen. She was their guide, the person that they went to for answers. She knew that his strong personality and power would do the task that he was chosen to do. In the Matrix, they lived their life for the God that each person worshipped but little to their knowledge the creator that they knew as God was nothing more then robotic parodies of FBI agents, w!ith black suits and sunglasses. The name Neo means new and just as Jesus died and came back from the dead, Neo was the Messiah and started a new life. I never thought about the movie in a spiritual way. Trinity was the purest of the group, she knew the potential that Neo had as the Messiah. Dreams are the gateway into another world and allow us to open our eyes to view this movie in a different light. The Oracle represented a priest in the world we live in now. They went to the Oracle to find answers and see the right path and in the real world, just as we go to the priest to find answers in life.
