By this point in time Snoop was a well known rapper with Death Row Records. He was born on October 20, 1972 in Long Beach California. and Snoop then did an album together labeled The Chronic on Death Row Records in 1992. Now at twenty seven, Snoop decided to leave Death Row Records and join No Limit Records. Dre fell in love instantly and took Snoop in under his wing. Snoop gave this reason for leaving Death Row, "It's a matter of getting more maturity. Snoop released a new album with No Limit that rocked the charts. His father awarded him this name stated that he looked like a dog because of all the hair on his head as a baby. Crips Snoop was heavily into selling drugs and the life of crime.
