Robert Frost was one of the most well known writers. There are manystories he wrote that are still very popular today. Even today in high schools and collegesaround the world students are reading Robert Frost's works. Robert Frost is one of thebest writers to read he gives a little something for everyone. Robert Lee Frost was born in San Francisco, on March twenty sixth, 1874. Hewas the first child of Isabelle Moodie and William Prescott Frost Jr. Robert Frost wasnamed after Confederate General Robert E. Lee (Grolier Encyclopedia, 1995). In 1876 hetraveled east with his mother. She was expecting another child and was upset with herhusband drinking and gambling. His sister Jeannie Florence was born in Lawrence,Massachusetts on June 25th. When they returned to San Francisco in the fall, his father In 1879, Frost attended kindergarten, but went home after one day suffering fromnervous stomach pain and does not return (Ketzle p.1). Then his father was elected as adelegate to the Democratic National Convention in Cincinnati. Frost then attended thefirst grade, but dropped out again. In 1881 Frost attended the second grade, and wasbaptized in his mother's Sweden-borgian church.


Then on April 28th 1899, his daughterLeslie was born, and his mother found out she had advanced cancer. Then atthe inauguration of Kennedy, he recites "The Gift Outright"(Ketzle p. His efforts toestablish himself and his works were almost an immediate success (Michalowski p. Also at this time he taught at Salem district school. Then in 1959 he made aprediction that John F. The works won him immediate recognition and hethen returned back to the United States in 1915.
