Ever since the beginning, heroes have helped and contributed to society. Heroes do great things for others, is proven every day through life and history through loyalty, courage, and generosity. In the story "Beowulf" loyalty is shown through the way, "He journeyed forever joyless ..." (p.17) in a loyal conquest to destroy a beast that is devouring his fellow man. He demonstrated his loyalty and good to man as for the kingdom by traveling through a miserable enviroment to risk his life to save others. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. has demonstrated courage through his life by speaking out for what he believes in. In, " ... 1955-56 ... he led the boycott ... by
             Montgomery blacks against the segregated city bus lines." Another great demonstration of loyalty to his fight for integration came when, " He organized the massive march on Washington, which brought more than two hundred thousand people together." Although when he planned a poor people's march on Washington it was interrupted, " ... in support of striking sanitation workers." His continuous efforts and loyalty after he made his speach starting with, " I had a dream..." was ended when, " ... he was shot and killed by an assasins bullet." Another person who has been a true hero to me is my best friend Shane. He is the most loyalist person to me. We were in a fight and I beat him up. I apologized the next day and he forgave me and we became best friends again. Then there was a point of time when he would repeat things that were not supposed to be repeated. When he realized that he was not being a loyal friend he stopped because he knew that it bothered me. Another situation were !
             he has shown loyalty is when I needed thirty dollars right then.He turned to me and gave me the money because he knew I needed the money. Lastly, there was a time when I was extremely ill and he stayed over my house to take care of me.
