Summery of 1984

             Winston Smith is a member of the leading party in London in the country former known as England, but now known as Oceania. The parties politic are cruel, and everywhere Winston goes he is watched by the party through so called telescreens. The party is so controlling that it even controls people language and history. It have even invented a new language that is a preventing force of rebellion because it destroys every word used for rebellion. The party even goes so far of trying to control people's thoughts, by making it illegal to think rebellion thoughts, known as thoughtcrime.
             Winston works in the Ministry of Truth, a part of the outer party. Here he works with newspeak, he rewrites books and news articles so they suits the parties wants. But in his spare time he writes in his diary about all of the things he hates about the party, and all of the other things he hates about the world he is living in. This is a really dangerous affair because if he gets arrested he will be charged of thughtcrime, and probably get killed for it.
             One day he bumps in to a dark-haired girl he has noticed before and thought she knew about his thoughtcrime and was going to turn him in. But in the note it says "I love you" and Julia (her name) begins to have an affair, But have to be very very cautious about it, because it is against the law to be together and have sex with one from the other sex. And they rent a room above a secondhand store in the prole (the poor are called proles) district of London, here they can be far away from telescreens, and other people that could arrest them. As Julia and Winston's affair progresses, the bigger grows Winston's hatred for the party, and one day he receive a message from a guy called O'Brien the message says that he would like to see him.
