Atlantis

             There are many mysteries of the world... the Bermuda triangle, the ancient pyramids of Egypt, supernatural phenomenon..The list could go on. But of all the world's unsolved mysteries, this is probably the biggest. Imagine living on a huge island continent with an extraordinary civilization, located in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the nearest thing to paradise the Earth has ever seen. (Stemman 6) Fruits and vegetables are very abundant, because the soil is so rich. Flowers surround everything, with beautiful mountains too. All kinds of tame and wild animals roam freely in the meadows and magnificent forests. Underground streams of sweet water provide the soil with nutrients and the people with something to drink. The Earth is rich with precious stones- diamonds, rubies, emeralds, etc. Even fire crystals with give off energy. The people are very smart and wise. But in time...something happened to this great civilization. Something that caused it to disappear in one day and one night.!
             Or did it?... Atlantis is one of the biggest mysteries of the world, and might remain that way for a very long time. Many people have speculated for many years weather or not this phenomenal place really existed. To many, it's just a myth. But there is logical evidence to prove that this great island civilization did exist at one time. But when and where? That is an answer we may never know. It's close to impossible to get the accurate answer to that question that remains in many scientists' minds and will for many many years, probably forever.
             I believe Atlantis existed because of the fact that there's a lot of evidence people have found over the years. And Plato directly states many times throughout Timeaus and Critias (his stories about Atlantis) that it is a true story.
