311 HISTORY
The strikingly genius band, 311, is a vision of illumination peeking past the dark cloud cast on the music industry. They have certainly worked hard for all that they have achieved. Would you like to know what it is like to become an extreme musical underground success and all the hard work it takes to be exactly where you want to be? The history of the band, 311, has the answers to these questions. All the members of 311 grew up in the ultra-hip era, the seventies, in Omaha, Nebraska. Timothy Mahoney, Chad Sexton, and Nicholas Hexum lived on the West Side and they all went to Westside High School with each other. They played over 40 songs, which lasted for 311 minutes. The day kicked off with a "meet and greet" held at Tower Records at 3:11 PM. It was at this time that 311, as we know it, was born. It's going to be fun to have a tour that's one hundred percent sold out. After the concert, a party was held in one of the rooms on the second floor of the theater, and anyone with a ticket stub from the show could attend. At about this time, SA Martinez was making some guest appearances at 311's live shows. After a year, the long awaited "Soundsystem" hit the shelves of record stores across America in August 1999. It was an across the board success on radio and MTV. Then I'll pick myself up off of my pity pot, keep my head held high, and stop feeling sorry for myself.
