movie review
What one aspect of life can bring us endless happiness and a sense of fulfillment, but at the same time bring sadness and sometimes betrayal? The answer to this question is a priceless and fragile gift that everyone experiences-- friendship. Friends may come and go during one's life, but those that are true friends will stay forever. True friends bring out the best in each other, are loyal and honest, have a mutual relationship, accept each other, and are available and generous with one another. These qualities are best exemplified in the relationship between C.C. Bloom and Hillary Whitney in the movie "Beaches." According to Walter Winchell, "A friend walks in when the whole world walks out." This saying describes perfectly the way that C.C. and Hillary met for the first time and started a beautiful relationship. Hillary, a child of a wealthy family who was well dressed and well behaved, had strayed from her hotel and found herself lost. She came upon a young girl who was smoking a cigarette and seemed like the rebellious type. This girl was C.C. Bloom. The two automatically seemed to click
In the end, however, when she finally did lose her fight, Hillary revealed just how much she valued C. After the turbulent period of their friendship, they came face to face with each other in a nightclub and hidden feelings were released. Being a single parent and lacking physical stamina, Hillary had a hard time in life, but with C. spent the summer with her and her daughter Victoria and assumed the role of friend and also another mother to Victoria. It seemed that during these times his friend left him, but that was not the case. remained by her side just like Hillary always supported her with her singing career.
