People hide behind the truth constantly inventing a shield for themselves because they are terrified of what people might find out. Hiding the truth can be an evil act occurring until the person gives up. Shakespeare's play Hamlet can be illustrated as a classic tale of a childlike prince trying to expose the truth about his father's death. The advice he gives his son is to have an n appearance of a loving and trusting father. Polonius speaks to his son about advice that sounds sincere and trusting but in reality his words are hollow with only an evil meaning. The appearance of Polonius is a loving and caring, but in actuality he is cold and sick at heart±. This shows his lack of trust for anyone; he gives the appearance of a confident father who trusts his son to go on his own.
