Many things can cause road rage. Every driver has experienced rage at some point while driving. Rage causes many accidents, some of which resulting in death. It is a serious problem that nobody seems to be doing anything about. Road rage can start in many ways. We live in a fast paced society in which everyone is constantly in a rush to get everywhere. There is pressure to be at work on time, to get kids to soccer practice, or get home in time for an important phone call. This often involves swerving in and out of cars causing others to break fast and slow down traffic even more. It is all too common to see people giving other drivers the middle finger. The effects of road rage can be seen everywhere. If the receiver of the gesture decides to acknowledge it, the rage goes even further. If everyone would realize this just a little bit, this road system would be a lot safer. Vicari 3Whatever the reason for road rage, there are no positive effects of it. In addition, people with nice cars feel it is their job to go faster than everyone else. Often we find ourselves driving to places we do not want to be. It can be returned by honking a horn, riding with their high beams on, cursing, following the person very closely or even cutting them off. When there is a road full of people who feel this way, there are often problems. While all this is going on, they are not paying attention to what is going on around them. It is something we see every day, and have not done anything about.
