When asked college students blame the poor for not being successful, this shows a great relationship between success and poverty. Naturally one would think if you are not successful how could you have money, and that's why I thought this part of the reading was boring. Also in the reading the fact that textbooks don't discuss certain occurrences throughout history, such as labor issues. For example, the exporting of jobs over seas. And with not discussing recent issues of labor, it is thought that labor issues were a time long ago, almost like slavery, and that I could easily see in this world. Surely people are not proud of labor issues or an issue with their corporation, but that is no reason not to educate other children about occurrences.
             Another topic I found interesting was the part discussed that poor children attend the same schools as rich children but yet the rich are the ones expected to know the answers, and I think that is just a stereotype. Tons of brilliant people have grown up in poor or lower class homes. I think that if the teacher wants to spark a child's thought they will call on them, not because of their economic status. I can only see this true if the school is mainly of upper class and there are children of lower class, that maybe their appearance isn't so up to standards that a prejudice may be aquatinted with the lower class children.
             In the reading it was said that when asked people said that poverty is 57% the poor's fault, and I disagree, maybe its their fault because they cant afford such proper clothing for interviews, but that should be considered when hiring, the boss should give everyone and equal chance.
