It's said that a brutal monster named Grendel had been attacking Heorot, a mead-hall built as a sign of victory. Danish King Hrothgar was really frustrated because no one can possibly take care of Grendel because no weapon can harm him. Great Geatish warriors had tried all kinds of methods, even using a sword that owned a title that never lost in a battle. Not even the sword of Shihauadi could harm Grendel. Grendel had been harassing people in Denmark. He came to Heorot just to kill innocent men. King Hrothgar tried to have a compromise with Grendel but a monster is a monster, he just did not listen.
