My Attitude to Mastering English.

             One of the characteristic features of life in our country nowadays is a great interest in studying foreign languages, mainly English. The advantages of being able to speak a foreign language are numerous. Interpreting, translating, secretarial work or sales all require language skills in either French, German or especially English. Furthermore, the rapidly expanding leisure industry, for example, hotels and restaurants all require many of their staff to be at least bilingual.
             It is interesting for me to learn to understand English and to speak it. Besides, I am a teacher of English and I want to know English perfectly. I want to be useful and helpful for my pupils, to impact knowledge and skills to them. As you know, a teacher is an investor in the future development and prosperity of our country. A good education is the best thing for a person and for his country.
             Lessons in school and university give us a good basis in grammar and pronunciation but on top of that we need something more if we are really to develop? So what is the best way to mastering English?
             I think we need to practice speaking. We need to practice speaking a lot. We can master English by speaking the language every day. It is not enough to think if we listen to somebody else talking the language that we will be able to speak it as well. We have to practice speaking ourselves. But how?
             The first idea is to form a language group with friends or colleagues at work who are speaking the same language and want to improve as well. Why not make a rule that whenever you talk to each other on the phone you only talk in the foreign language? Weekends or after school (work) is an ideal time to meet, for a couple of hours you only talk that particular language. If this is not possible the second option is to talk to yourself!
