Things Fall Apart

             A person's childhood is the most important part of their life because it reflects upon their adulthood. In their childhood people learn the difference from right and wrong. They learn many things about religion. They go to school and learn most of their lives lessons. This applies to everybody, people in Things Fall Apart, people in the past, people in the present, and people in the future.
             Okonkwo was affected by his childhood inn many ways some of those ways were that his dad, Unoka, was a failure. He was called a woman by everyone in the town because he had no titles, and he only had one wife, wives were counted as being rich because to marry them the person had to bride price. He borrowed money and never returned it. People promised themselves not to give him money but he was a good speaker and persuaded them to give him money. He was also an alcoholic. He did not care about his family. Him and his family were in bad health because they were starving all the time. Whenever Unoka got money he spent it on alcohol. This all effected Okonkwo because when he became older he tried to do everything opposite of his father. His father was lazy so Okonkwo worked as hard as he could so he would not be lazy. His dad had no titles, Okonkwo worked hard to get tittles. Okonkwo feared turning out like his father.
             Nwoye was affected in his childhood because he was beaten by his father, Okonkwo. He was forced to follow the Ibo and did not want to. That is why the missionaries were easily able to convince him to convert to Christianity.
             The present day is the same, as during the time of Things Fall Apart. Children are beaten by their fathers or their mothers, wives are beaten by their boyfriends or their husbands, turn out to beat their own children. In Things Fall Apart Okonkwo was beaten by his father, so then when he has kids he will most likely beat them, and his wives. Kids with bad experiences are affected by them in...
