Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton is an illustrious hero in my mind. He has been a great leader since hewas Governor of Arkansas from 1979-1980 and 1983-1992. John F. Kennedy and MartinLuther King Jr. influenced Clinton in his life. During his presidency he was been a loyal,strong-willed leader who isn't scared to do anything for his country. Clinton was the thirdyoungest president, which is also an amazing achievement. During young Bill's life his father was killed before he was born. A few years laterhis mom was remarried. His stepfather was an alcoholic and sometimes verbally andphysically abused his wife. Bill stood up to him more than once. Later he
He has achieved many great thingsfor himself and for the country. In 1976 he decided to run for Attorney General. In 1993 Clinton was elected President of the United States. said that histroubled family life made him skilled at solving disagreements and avoiding conflicts, making him a strong-willed person. While President he appointed more womenand minority leaders to his Cabinet than any President had done before. This shows howmuch he cared about women's and civil rights in the U. He ran against RossPerot and George Bush defeating them both. Ihope that I can be as great a leader as he is one day. During his term he opposed the buildingof a few coal burning power plants and wanted them to have more efficient andconservative plants built showing how he was a leader and cared about the environment. Also, he helped pass the Brady bill and opposed some Republican proposals ofincreasing Medicare premiums. Thanks to him we have many of the laws against crimeprevention and handgun control. House of Representatives he was narrowly defeated. There are many other things that Bill Clinton has done to make him my hero. He helped to pass an anticrime law and the Kennedy-Kassebaum billthat would help people to change jobs and not lose medical insurance coverage and madeit so that workers cannot be denied medical insurance coverage because of a preexistingillness.
