The Problem of Television Violence

             Television is the most credible and believable source of information in the world. It shows us that the world is a violent and dangerous place, and in many cases shows us how to prevent and act in certain moments of our lives, it reports on how the world really works. Televised violence shows us all about conflicts and power work in the world. One of the most important issues that have appeared since the invention of television is the effects of media violence on society, although many people try to ignore this issue. This issue that has come up has great effects on education, styles of life, attitudes, thoughts, points of view, etc.
             There have even been investigations that show that viewing television violence will reduce stress in people. For these reasons, violence such as fights, with or without weapons, will never end and therefore the issue will always be present. Violence is an important fact of life. It is very much part of the human condition. The media cannot pretend that violence does not exist. Many parents try to prohibit their children to watch violent films or scenes on television. They only look at the negative aspect because the parents complain that the violence only teaches their children how to kill and to get away with it in a very successful way.
             The exposure of children to violence is good in a way since it prepares them to cope and face reality. Conflicts are important for children to grow up with it is part of their life they should not think that nothing is going to happen to them and that life is not a world of roses. Exposure to violence in children is therefore not a bad idea. They have to live with it, and because it is such a hated and bad seen thing it should not influence them. Children learn a good deal of the society that surrounds them and also by viewing violent television shows.
