HUMANITY_AND_DIVINITY_IN_MATTHEW_(BIBLE)
Humanity can be best described as being a humane characteristic, attribute or act. Divinity can be described as being God-like. Jesus Christ often displayed these characteristics of humanity and divinity many times in Matthew's interpretation of his lifetime. We are told in Matthew 1:23, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is 'God with us'." There are two signs of the divinity of Jesus Christ in this verse. Firstly, being born of a virgin. Only a divine or God-like "person" could possibly be born in such a way. Secondly, being destined to be called Emmanuel, meaning 'God with us'. This is also a sign of the great divinity of Jesus Christ, as it shows that God wanted everyone to know that he was always with Him, and a part of him.

Firstly, divinity is shown when the verse says, ". " It is here that Jesus Christ proclaims to the people of the world that He has been given great power by God. He performed many miracles and saved many people's lives. These accomplishments of Jesus Christ could only be the work of one who is not only humane, but extremely divine. In Matthew 28:17, Jesus came and spoke to the people saying, "All power is given unto me in Heaven and in earth. This statement declares that Jesus Christ really is divine, for one given the power of God would have to be.
