How Going Back to College Has Changed My Life
             Allow me to introduce myself, because you might not recognize me as a "second" year student at first glance. I am a mother of three children and a grandmother of six grandchildren. I did not have the opportunity to attend college when I graduated from high school twenty-nine some years ago. I have been attending Virginia Western on a full time basis for the last year now and I am pursuing a career in accounting.
             When I was a high school student, I received mostly A's and B's. As a college student I have maintained a 2.33 average. Knowing that I will graduate next fall, my self-esteem has bolstered to increase my grade point average. This level of confidence is something that could not have been acquired without the nurturing of my husband and children, encouraging my goals to graduate. No of my accomplishments so far at this level in college could have been obtained with out the support and help of some my teachers, as I struggle to regain my confidence as a student considering my age.
             While going to college, I have maintained a full- time job and, consequently used some of the knowledge that I have gained in my job. I never realized that the courses I have taken thus far have given me the ability to succeed at my job.
             With what I have learned thus far as renewed my confidence as a college student and made more valuable to my employer with what I have learned thus far.
             Over the course of this past year, I have used my accounting in different aspects of my job. With the accounting background I have used in implementing different spread sheets, maintain records with different types of functions that I have obtained for taking the accounting curriculum. I've gained some worth wild knowledge of accounting; seen videos on statistics and how it affects our economy on a whole. As I continue my educational at Virginia Wester
