Enlightening Experience
Many academic experiences have proven valuable to me, but outstanding among them is one involving my experience of the Presidential Classroom. This experience was incredible. It has had an enormous impact on me in many ways, changing the way I look at the world and connecting me with people and events far beyond my formerly limited experience. I am extremely glad to have had this opportunity. It was a wonderful experience on multiple levels. It challenged me and expanded me intellectually and socially. As soon as my last class ended, I went straight to work. This experience helped to reinforce my interest in the field of Law. Your college represents an institution abundant with academic resources. I participated in the Cure for Diabetes and Breast Cancer walk-a thons during 2001, 2002 and have plans to participate in 2003. Since attending the Presidential Classroom, I have had the opportunity to meet and befriend a lawyer working for Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoades,LLP who is currently my mentor. The sharing among students of ideas and experiences with respect to politics, and in other areas as well, was enlightening. I intend to maintain a high academic record of achievement during my years at your college, and I will use that academic record to achieve other goals I have set for myself (for example, I would like to be a teaching fellow while I am at your college. The primary academic goal I have set for myself is to use my potential to the fullest. I had an opportunity to see Congress in session, participate in cross-fires on topic 's such as Affirmative Action (and I learned about how things affected other people and it helped me to understand the issues better), and personally meet Senator's and other dignitaries. During my junior year I worked part-time as a cashier at the Acme Markets. These experiences have proven to be most rewarding. I am an outstanding student, because I meet my academic standards as well as my job standards four days per week. I am a member of Who's Who Among High School students and was a member of the cheerleading squad during my Freshmen and Sophomore year's as well as the Spanish Club.
