The only child feels a loss of freedom. First of all there is the only child who has to deal with playing alone and fighting off adult intrusion. It can determine the nature of a marriage as far as being difficult or pleasant. The first born tend to be afraid of offending others therefore put their own thoughts and feelings out of mind. When the child finally reaches adulthood there are twenty-five types of marriage according to birth order. Yet the third born often feels vulnerable. Then comes the fourth born who feels immature and unwanted. Being a first born I can relate to procrastination as a result of day dreaming. On the other hand a first born feels as though there is no love for him or her.
