Birth Order

             In studying birth order researchers have discovered that your placement in the family has something to do with who you are. Many of a child's characteristics are developed from this placement and are even carried on through adulthood. Although you can look at birth order as both emotional and chronological you will discover that emotional, which is being described here, is more significant. In learning about the different qualities you should find more often than not they relate to you. Also you will be able to see how birth order carries on through adulthood in marriage.
             With most children birth order is established early, in the first two years of life. Only in the first childs case is there an exception which can be as old as five years old. Once established, though, this order does continue for life.
             First of all there is the only child who has to deal with playing alone and fighting off adult intrusion. The only child feels a loss of freedom. They tend to be sarcastic in humor and are easily angered by intrusion. Every description found of an only child goes back to the child wanting to be alone and allowed to do things how they feel they should be done. They feel extremely smothered.
             On the other hand a first born feels as though there is no love for him or her. They feel as though people should get what they deserve and are easily angered when they are shown little respect. The main cause of procrastination often arises from the child dreaming instead of doing. Being a first born I can relate to procrastination as a result of day dreaming. Also a common phrase, which I use frequently, that is said is "I don't know". The first born tend to be afraid of offending others therefore put their own thoughts and feelings out of mind.
             The second born feels as if he or she cannot do anything well. They are constantly striving to do and be better. Most characteristics of this child turn back to perfection. Yet the third...
