Venezuela

             Venezuela, republic of South America, bounded on the north by the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean and on the southwest and west by Colombia. The total area of Venezuela is about 912.050 sq. km. The capital of Venezuela is Caracas, one of the biggest cities in Venezuela.
             The official language of Venezuela is Spanish. The Venezuelan population is made up of about 21.983.188 peoples. About 67% of the population in Venezuela are made up of Mestizos, mixed European and Natives. 21% of the population is made up of whites and 2% is made up of unmixed Native American. Roman Catholicism is the principal religion of Venezuela. Venezuela is divided into 22 states and 72 islands in the Caribbean that are the countries federal dependencies. Also, education is free and for children ages 5 and 15 education is compulsory.
             There are four geographical highlands in Venezuela. The Pico Bolivar is Venezuela's highest point, about 5007m/16,427 ft. Maracaibo lowlands, which contains the lake Maracaibo is near the northwestern coast. The Llanos grasslands are in the northern central region and Guiana Highlands are located in the southeast and south. It is also a home to a wide variety of exotic plants and animals, including the jaguar, anteater and the anaconda (lonely planet), the longest snake in the world.
             The two chief ranges which, form part of the boundary of Brazil are the Sierra Parima and Sierra Pacaraima. Angel falls, one of the world's highest waterfalls is also found in Venezuela. Moreover, Orinoco is the one of the rivers in Venezuela that forms the outlet of the Atlantic Ocean and it extends east across central Venezuela. It drains approximately four-fifth of the total population. Also, the climate in Venezuela is tropical and ranges from 24-34 C. It's a beautiful place to live.
