Honey Moon by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

             "Honey Moon," a romance novel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, is about a girl who came from a rundown South Carolina amusement park to the shimmering glamour of Hollywood. Left an orphan at a young age, Honey Moon was left with the responsibility to maintain an amusement park. With her fierce attitude and the determination of having a family she can call her own, Honey Jane Moon became an inveterate child star artist ready to take on the world.
             This romance novel is based on three apathetic characters who make it almost impossible for Honey Moon to have the family she dreams of. Being an orphan, Honey Moon is forced to move with her aunt in South Carolina who is unappreciative of her. Because the amusement park got shut down and they didn't have any money so Honey made Chantal, her beautiful cousin, enter a beauty contest that would give her the opportunity to audition for a pilot for the Dash Coogan Show. The beauty contest gave her the opportunity to audition but there was no means of transportation, so Honey and Chantal drove to Hollywood for the audition.
             On the way to Hollywood, they picked up a hitchhiker named Gordon who falls in love with Chantal. When they get to the audition Chantal gets stage fright, which causes her to lose the role. Honey goes into the audition room putting up a fight with everyone who got in her way. She is about to get thrown out of the room when a handsome, tall, dark stranger comes to her rescue. He talks to her for a while with the cameras rolling and everyone likes the chemistry between them. Dash Coogan, the handsome stranger, convinces the producers to change the script a little to accommodate Honey.
             Honey's attitude got her the role of the daughter Janie, the daughter of Dash, played by him. She started to make a great deal of money that she used to buy a house for her family and herself.
