Abortions

             In today's society the discussion on abortion is a big issue. Should it be legal or illegal? One of the reasons a lot of people will probably vote for President Bush is because he is anti-abortion, as well as millions of others in the country. However, a lot of people will also probably vote for John Kerry because he is pro abortion, as well as millions of others in America that believe that women should have the right to choose. It is completely understandable why anyone would believe that it is horrible to kill an unborn child, but they are not looking at all of the facts.
             Not everyone who is anti-abortion thinks of the fact that people who have HIV/ AIDS, or other deadly diseases could pass these onto their baby? No, they probably don't. There are many cases where women have had surgery and many strong prescription drugs in their early pregnancy, not knowing they were pregnant. This can harm the baby, and when or if this happens the women are told that there is a chance that their babies could be deformed or have health/ mental complications. Can you imagine carrying a baby for nine months knowing there is a 30-50 % chance that it will not turn out all right and has to struggle for its life once born? In other cases, there are heroin or cocaine addicts that become pregnant. Now have you ever seen a baby born that is addicted to heroin or cocaine? It is horrible and disturbingly sad. Some heroin or cocaine addicts don't even know they are pregnant until it is too late, and they know that their baby has been hurt. Also know that anything that happens to a women's body one month before conception affects the baby. Many addicts are aware that they can't quit. Therefore, abortion being the best thing, instead of giving birth to something that might not live that long or that has to struggle to live.
             There are also the issues of rape and incest. Some believe that. victims of rape and incest should be forced...
