Education is not used to the fullest extent when drinking is involved. Most school programs are there to teach the students about the consequences of other drugs such as cocaine and marijuana but these programs are rarely focused on the effects of the drug alcohol. Not only should new stricter punishments be set up but these new restrictions should be seriously enforced. At colleges programs should be set up to help curb the accessibility to students who are not yet twenty-one. With the help of new education programs the age at which most young people take their first drink might be raised to an older age or until they are legally allowed to purchase alcohol. These new education programs might help the mass of youngsters who are about to take their first drink decide against that first sip.
