Personal Strengths and Weakness Paper
As human beings we learn at a young age how to walk and talk. These abilities allow us to socialize with other children and start us on the path to personal development. As we grow, we learn from our peers how to have manners (or not have manners), how to share (or not share), and all the things that make us what we are when we become adults. All of these manners and abilities are valuable for different reasons regardless of what we choose to do. There are several abilities and skills that I have acquired over the years through work, school, and home life. I have had to be many things in my life, from carpenter to electrician to plumber, I have worn many hats. I have been trained in a Technical College to be a mechanic and businessman. I have been taught basic Theology from a Bible College and I have taught myself other skills, such as how to repair a computer and how to fix a sink. These are considered "technical" skills and I have used them many times in both work and also at home. I have also learned general interpersonal skills from my parents, as well as from some of the jobs I have done and life in general. I think the most useful of these would be customer service
Summary In conclusion, I will use my strengths to assist others and draw from the strengths of others to help me with my weaknesses. This is going to allow me to prioritize my daily activities so that I can get school work done as well as my other responsibilities. Instead of just doing something for me, she is to help me by asking me if I have filed or completed my agenda yet. It deals with decision making and prioritizing (organization) which we all know now are the two things I need to work on the most. Through this process I will strive to improve the weaknesses I have, all the while maintaining in my mind that it is not an overnight process. I have started printing my assignments to put into this file daily. This results in the "last minute scramble" and even in things getting done late or not done at all. Plan for Improvement In his book "Today Matters" author John C. I guess the greatest weakness I have is organization followed by indecision. I am sure that part of my indecision issues stem from my organization problems. I am sure that I have other weaknesses but these two just seem to stand out the most. As my organization improves, I know I will see other things in my life improve. I will also maintain the ongoing goals of finishing the book Today Matters, setting a daily agenda of my tasks, and having my wife keep me in check to that agenda. Maxwell (2004) states: "Real, sustainable change doesn't happen in a moment. Customer service is something that is required regardless of the job you do or the company you work for.
