Human population has been increasing since the beginning of humanity. Never had we had to ask ourselves how we should control population, until this last century. I'm sure that even you have noticed a difference since you were a kid. You can notice the difference when you go to schools and or go to the malls and notice there are larger amounts of people there then there was before. A lot of changes have been seen in just one century and this is why we should look into having government participation to control population. Population control is important because by lowering population, you can also lower crime. Cities have been growing tremendously and crowded cities usually lead to higher crime. Controlling population could lower crime (Getis, Judith). Also by lowering crime you would be reducing the use of drugs. I think population control is a big issue, which could help solve other public policy concerns. I do not think the earth is going to be able to with stand!
all the people of this world. Some people might not want to take on this global task by themselves, this is why government should participate. There are people who would say that it is impossible to control population. Well that is
. . .
The benefits through crime and drug reduction should be a plus to this proposal. The methods in which I present are just a start. There are methods to reduce poverty. because those people do not want to make an effort and participate in controlling it. Family planning does not tell you how many kids you can have or cannot have, it does not force you in any way. In schools we have family-planning programs; it's called health class.
Another method would be to reduce poverty. It should not surprise us if this was in our near future. By government encouraging women to get a higher education to get there Masters or Doctrine, it will in return benefit everyone by giving them a lower population. I think that it is possible to control population and there are others out there who would say the same. Spring 2000
