I had the privilege to take a trip to the Hawaiian
Islands this semester and it was truly a cultural
experience. As well as culture the ambiance of the society
and the traditions I was privileged to see were alone quiet
amazing. The greatest thrill was a performance that was
done a long time ago and is still done today. The ancient
Hawaiians have a tradition of a Luoa which contains hula
dancing flame throwing as well as great traditional music .

explain to you all the happenings of this amazing Luoa. It
takes place in Waikiki Beach at the Hilton Hawaiian Village
at their big pool. The Luoa starts at sunset and the line
to be seated is wrapped around the pool. The people
performing are real life Hawaiians that keep its tradition
going in their own culture, outside of the tourism. At
first when I walk in to take a seat I see people paying, I
find out they are paying for an authentic meal which consist
of nothing more then some chicken, rice, pineapple, and
some corn. A little ironic do to they fac...
