Drop Out Rates In High Schools

The high rate of successful high school graduates can be attributed to the many aspects of the structure of schools. The quality of the faculty plays a tremendous role in the success of students. Students who have outstanding teachers are also likely to take time spent in the classroom in a genuine, earnest manner. If the faculty continues their hard work, the students enjoy their classes eventually making time blocks longer. With longer time blocks, the duration of the school year could be shortened. First and foremost, the faculty, including the teaching staff, is directly associated with the rate of success a student achieves. It has been proven that the students who maintain an excellent relationship with their teachers are prone to become more involved in the classroom. An open-communication relationship between the two individuals also plays a significant role in the bond that should be made between the two parties. For example, if a student needs help in a certain subject but is intimidated by the teacher then he will be punished in the long run whereas a student who communicates freely with his or her teacher can get the help he or she needs right away. Students who frequently speak with their teacher are exposed


A great faculty helps bring about the best in students. Time blocks would allow longer interactive sessions; therefore allowing teachers and students to get more accomplished than they would on an ordinary day. By being open to these elements, the students' minds are allowed to grow and mature, in turn developing a sense of intellectual maturity.
