Julius Caesar

The legacy of Julius Caesar is remarkable. Julius Caesar was born Gaius Julius Caesar, in Rome, Italy to a well known and ancient patrician family (a noble family of the ancient Roman Republic, which during the Roman Empire had exclusive rights to the Senate). To more of the present days, we use the name, "Julius Caesar" leaving out Gaius. Caesar is said to have been tall, fair, and well-built, with a rather broad face, dark brown eyes. Later on, Caesar crossed the first Roman voyage through the English Channel, to Britain. E Caesar was elected quaestor and obtained a seat in the Senate. He did not stay in Britain for long; he had to leave because of the stress from his wife, Julia's death, during childbirth in the year 54b. It was held at the normal senate house with all the members with a couple more. After this, his general sent him on an embassy to Nicomedes, the king of Bithynia, to obtain a fleet of ships from the king. While sailing to grease for further study he was kidnapped by Cilician pirates and held for ransom. Also at this time there were an unbelievable amount of statutes made of him. E Caesar was to serve his last senate meeting before his departure. After this Sulla died just around 78bc and Caesar returned to Rome.
